After several revisions the full international standard is now expected in either September or October 2015.
Registration bodoes will now be finalising their methods and frameworks to enable you to undertake the transition from your current ISO 9001:2008 system across to the new ISO 9001:2015 standard. The timeframe for full transition is 3 years but we recommend you get ahead to the competition and push for early adoption.
What are the key changes?
Principally, the main requirement is for a risk assessment based quality management system. Preventative action is gone and a formal approach is needed to preventing errors. Also, management must demonstrate committment to the requirements of the standard.
After 7 years there’s a lot that has changed. For our clients where we already support their quality systems, we will be carrying out the transition free of charge.
